You need: five minutes or more by yourself in a comfortable sitting position or laying position. 

 

1. clench fists tightly for ten counts. release and let your body completely loose and limp.

2. take a deep and full breath and hold for ten counts, exhale all at once, letting your body go completely loose and limp.

3. count back slowly from 20 to 10 taking a breath with each count and letting go more as you let out each breath.

4. imagine you are basking in the warm sun or soaking in a hot tub until you feel your hands get warmer.
