SA Championships
June 5,2010
Cane Creek Park
The Scholastic Anglers Championship is the culmination of the Scholastic Anglers Challenge. This event will be held at a local lake{to be determined} at the end of the school year{the later part of May}. All Scholastic Anglers Challenge points will be added to the points earned at the Scholastic Anglers Championship. Every effort will be made to assure that each Scholastic Angler will fish from a boat during this event. However, no student-angler will be allowed to fish with his/her parent during the championship event. Two student-anglers will fish from each boat operated by an adult. The adult may answer questions but they are not allowed to fish or to aide the student-angler other than to record numbers and lengths of fish that will not be weighed at the weigh-in. The student-anglers will have the opportunity to fish from both ends of the boat. The student-anglers may operate the trolling motor with permission from the adult boat operator. Only legal size fish may be weighed in, however, the student-angler will still receive points for each fish caught, regardless of size.
This event is intended to be fun, yet, it will provide competitiveness. Remember, each student-angler is competing as an individual and as a member of a team. Each student-angler is competing as an individual for the Scholastic Angler of the Year or one of the eight Elite Eight. They are also competing as a team to determine the Scholastic Anglers School of the Year.
