School Teams
January 25, 2010 begins the second, SPRING! semester of the academic year. This has proven to be the official "Kick=Off" for the Scholastic Anglers Challenge. For those schools already participating, the spring semester gives us an opportunity to showcase our fishing skills. All of the hard work and learning from the beginning of the 2009-2010 academic year, through the cold winter months, can now be put into practice.
For schools not yet participating, now is the time to PUT YOUR SCHOOLS PRIDE ON THE LINE! Start a new sport at your school. Increase school spirit, school pride, and start new rivalries!
One teacher and one student-angler can represent a school with no maximums. The object is to earn as many points as possible in an effort to earn the coveted Scholastic Anglers School Of The Year or Scholastic Angler Of The Year or the Scholastic Anglers Elite Eight. Points can be earned by catching, photographing, and releasing fish, completing fishing related classroom assignments, attending meetings, or participating in Scholastic Anglers Workshops. Each accomplishment carries a point value and there are many ways to win!
